Histological and histometric study of the small intestine in Stara Zagora white turkey in age aspect

Thirty clinically healthy Stara Zagora white turkeys (15 females and 15 males) were used for the study. Eighteen tissue samples (six from middle of each segment small intestine) appropriate age group to prepare permanent histological specimens. The sections stained by Masson - Goldner method. intestine turkey was composed four layers: tunica mucosa, submucosa, muscularis serosa. Tunica mucosa had lamina epithelialis, propria mucosae. layers formed well-defined intestinal villi intestinales. Lamina epithelialis highly differentiated simple columnar epithelium. in three segments clearly distinct tubular glands gll. Intestinales. histometric results showed that growth mucosal structures more intense first twenty-eight days, compared other wall. most increase height area villi. varied markedly during days duodenal examination, while increased jejunum, followed ileum duodenum. epithelium intensively 2.3 times jejunum mucosa. thickness jejunal this period, duodenum ileum.
